# Vritti Lens Hardware & Mounting Guide

Vritti Lens converts off-the-shelf Android tablets into high-speed biometric face recognition attendance terminals.

## Recommended Tablet Specifications

To ensure sub-second face identification and optimal camera field-of-view, select devices meeting these hardware specifications:

## Wall Mounting & Physical Placement

Proper physical placement prevents glare, awkward user posture, and camera obstruction.

### Recommended Height

* Mount the tablet at a center height of **1.45 meters to 1.55 meters (4.75 to 5.1 feet)** from the floor.
* This height comfortably accommodates standing adults ranging from 1.50m to 1.90m without requiring tilt adjustments.

### Lighting Considerations

* Place the tablet in a well-lit area with even front illumination.
* **Avoid direct backlighting**: Do not position the camera facing direct sunlight, open windows, or strong overhead spotlights facing the lens.
* Ensure ambient light level is above 150 lux for accurate image capture.
