Selfie + GPS Mobile Punch Flow

Employees can mark attendance directly from their smartphone using the selfie punch feature within designated campus geofences.

How to Mark Mobile Attendance

  1. Open Vritti People on your smartphone.
  2. On the home tab, tap Punch Attendance.
  3. The app will fetch your real-time GPS coordinates and check if you are within your institution’s allowed geofence boundary.
  4. If your location is verified:
    • Position your face inside the camera frame.
    • Tap Capture Selfie & Punch.
  5. Once submitted, the screen displays a green success confirmation screen with timestamp and location details.

Troubleshooting Punch Failures

  • Failure: Outside Geofence Zone
    • Make sure you are physically located within campus boundaries.
    • Enable high-accuracy location mode in your phone’s GPS settings.
  • Failure: Camera Permission Denied
    • Go to your smartphone Settings > Apps > Vritti People > Permissions and enable Camera access.
