Can we use existing Android tablets for the Vritti Lens kiosk?

Yes. Vritti Lens runs on standard Android tablets running Android 9.0 or higher. You do not need proprietary legacy biometric hardware. Any tablet with a front-facing camera can function as an attendance kiosk.

Do we need special biometric hardware or external scanners?

No. Vritti Lens uses high-speed facial recognition using the tablet’s built-in front camera. No fingerprint readers or external hardware modules are required.

Offline Resiliency & Internet Uptime

What happens if the internet goes down at the gate or institution?

Vritti Lens operates completely offline. Attendance scans continue to process immediately locally without delay. Scans are saved in a encrypted queue on the tablet and automatically synchronize with the central server once internet connectivity is restored.

Can staff scan attendance if the server is offline during peak shift hours?

Yes. The local kiosk database handles verification locally so shift starts and ends are never blocked by network latency or internet outages.

Security & Fraud Prevention

How does Vritti prevent buddy punching or photo spoofing?

Vritti Lens includes built-in liveness detection. Presenting a printed photograph, video recording, or smartphone image of an employee will fail verification.

How does Vritti People prevent GPS location spoofing on staff mobile phones?

The Vritti People application validates device GPS signals against physical geofence boundaries configured in Vritti Console. Fake GPS applications, mock location settings, and developer overrides are automatically detected and blocked.

Can we export payroll data to accounting software like Tally?

Yes. Vritti Console exports standardized payroll summaries and detailed salary registers compatible with Tally, Excel, and custom accounting systems.

Does Vritti support non-standard shift schedules and night shifts?

Yes. Vritti supports multi-shift configurations, flexible timing windows, overnight shifts spanning past midnight, and rotational shift schedules.
