Attendance & Geofencing Management

Vritti tracks employee presence through an event-sourced architecture. Every punch or scan creates an immutable event log, which is aggregated into daily attendance summaries automatically.

Attendance Verification Modes

Employees can mark attendance through two verified methods:
  1. Biometric Face Recognition (Vritti Lens): Automatic hands-free face detection on tablet kiosk terminals.
  2. Selfie + GPS Geofence (Vritti People): Verified selfie punch with high-accuracy GPS coordinates on mobile phones.

Campus Geofencing Setup

Geofencing ensures that mobile attendance punches are valid only within designated physical boundaries of your institution.

Creating a Location Geofence Zone

  1. Navigate to Attendance > Locations in Vritti Console.
  2. Click Add Campus Location.
  3. Enter location name (e.g., Main Campus, Satellite Facility).
  4. Set the latitude and longitude coordinates, or use the interactive map picker.
  5. Define the Allowed Radius (recommended: 50 to 100 meters).
  6. Click Save Location.
If an employee attempts to punch via Vritti People outside the designated geofence radius, the punch will be rejected and logged as an out-of-bounds attempt.

Manual Attendance Corrections

Administrators and HR managers can manually adjust attendance entries when necessary (e.g. forgotten punches or approved field work).
  1. Navigate to Attendance > Daily Ledger.
  2. Select the date and search for the employee.
  3. Click Edit Entry next to their record.
  4. Update status (Present, Half Day, Absent, On Duty) or punch times.
  5. Enter a required Reason for Correction for audit tracking.
  6. Click Save Correction.
